When Life Doesn't Make Sense

God wants you to know that he loves you, and perhaps what you're going through right now that you cannot understand and you say, "Where, where, where are all his promises"? Well, David in the Bible asked that one time, all right? David asked where are all his promises. He was going through a tough time, and he might say, "What happened to Psalms 91? What happened to this? What happened to that"? This morning I asked, and I claimed, and I told God, "I have favor with you. But He seemly God did not answer. Today, I offer you this simple analogy as to what may be happening.

The Power of a praying mom

Being a mom is more than carting kids around to games and concerts, finding lost sippy cups and pacifiers, and fixing scraped knees. It’s more than being a chauffeur and a chef. Being a mom isn’t a job…it’s a calling.

Changes

Human nature does not like change. We like stability. Change is scary. Change is unknown. It’s a lot easier to stay with the status quo, to stay with what we know. That’s true for everyone, of all ages. The problem, of course, is that our world is constantly changing. I don’t know if there’s a good way to measure how fast the world is changing, but it sure feels like it’s changing faster than ever before, doesn’t it?

Look Out Changes Ahead

Everything in our world is changing, and it seems like the changes are coming faster and faster. It’s so comforting to know that in the midst of a world full of constant change, God’s nature remains steadfast and unshakable. Again, in Hebrews 13:8 we find the writer saying the same thing “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Let Your Light Shine

Sunday after church we went and picked up our daughter and went to Firehouse subs. While we were eating in walked a young couple (in the 30s to 40s) and they asked us if they could set down across the isle from us at their own table. We said yes and we began talking (mostly about raising chickens) but the subject of church did come up. Not surprisingly, this couple were Christians. They started the conversation so that they could share Christ with us. No knowing that we were already Christians. I think this is such an amazing way to carry out the Great Commission that Christ called us to.
